Have You Considered a Man Party?

Are you struggling with bookings? Well, let me introduce you to Susan Meidinger from Zeeland, North Dakota. Susan’s goal for October was to hold and submit 5 PSEs that were over $700 so she could earn a set of the Brilliance Sheets. Due to her creative and determined spirit, it looks like she’s going to make her goal.

One creative booking idea that she not only had but followed through on is one we want to share with you. Here’s how Susan got a little creative:

“I created the Man Party with my Host. He wanted the Feather Bed when he came to my Launch Party back in February. He didn't want to spend the whole amount so I told him to host his own party. We came up with the idea to hold this Man Party during the weekend that pheasant hunting opens! The first weekend in October is like a national holiday around our parts (North Dakota) The men hunt all day then stop off at the local steakhouse/bar to eat and brag about their catch for the day! He was hosting a group of out-of-state friends and family. I told him this would be the time for all of his friends and family to do their Christmas shopping or take something home to their angry wives. (Wives usually get a little upset during hunting season.)

Well the idea worked! Together, we sold $2269.71 in product and he is receiving numerous host specials & half price items, along with his new Featherbed ($66.86 in overage), Feathered Cover, Cabin Plaid Throw and  two Bamboo Towels--all for free! Jim Hochhalter is one very happy man!

I also booked two bridal showers because bachelorette party stopped by and checked out the display!

To entice the men to my display, I had drawings every hour for five hours in a row. I offered back scratchers, back brushes, a t-shirt, boxers and the last drawing was a bamboo bath sheet. The whole night was fun!”

So, what do men like to eat at Man Parties? Well, it wasn't your typical beer and hot wings. Susan tells us, “The Host brought tiger meat and liver sausage, which are staples around here.” (Definitely a Man Party.)

Susan says she was surprised that the men bought things for their wives-- robes, baby doll tops, scarves, North Woods Sheets and Blankets, and then almost all took advantage of the Manor Crest blanket special. To make there shopping easier she, made outfits (jeans, blouse, Bella Sweater Vest, Martinique Scarf) and hung them up on command strip hooks around the room so the men could visualize how the Comfort Wear looks all put together.

And that’s not all! “Jim booked another party for next year and I have two bridal shower bookings for Spring 2012.”Susan says, “I would highly recommend doing something like this or even booking a couple’s party.”

Congratulations to Susan for her willingness and determination for not only setting her goals but also, getting into action and making those goals happen!
